Another One Down!

We had a little better turn out this time but still hoping for more.

The Gun of the Month turned out to be Guns of the month as the presenter turned up with 6 WWII Lugers, Valuable and rare.

The discussion part of the meeting was entertaining and informative but the best part of the evening was this.

We have our meetings in a local restaurant, Bogie's, which remains open to the public while we have our fun. These folks were having a family supper on the other end of the room. The girl in the center of the picture had said to her Mom "I think those guys have guns over there". The Mom replied its ok that's a rifle club or something, no big deal. (yes they are little people don't adjust your monitors.)

As they were walking out she asked about the guns so the presenter opened the case to show her and it turns out they were studying WWII in school so she grabbed a pen and paper and she took notes of what was there.

This was the win of the night, hopefully she got a better understanding about firearms and at least is a little less afraid of them. They left with a flyer for next months meeting, a couple Gun News magazines and a very sincere invitation to come to the next meeting.

While it is great for us to get together and have fun with our toys getting other folks that are outside our circle to take part is a big win.

Next month's meeting is set for March 6, with the gun of the month being a Merkel shotgun. Should be a treat and I hope to see you there!
